Now Hiring: Asteroid Miner

Planetary Resources

Think space exploration ended with the defunding of NASA? Think again. Planetary Resources is a privately owned company that is looking to mine near to Earth asteroids.

Their hopes is to mine platinum, gold, water, and much more. Their plan is set, the technology is in the works, and they have plenty of investors to back them up. They are now hiring anyone who is interested in the mining project.

Planetary Resources is establishing a new paradigm for resource discovery and utilization that will bring the solar system into humanity’s sphere of influence. Our technical principals boast extensive experience in all phases of robotic space missions, from designing and building, to testing and operating. We are visionaries, pioneers, rocket scientists and industry leaders with proven track records on—and off—this planet.

Their media release video is pretty similar to that of Apple’s, except without the white background.
