Lytro – Living Pictures

Lytro

What is a living picture? Lytro wants to define that for you. Just released is a new camera that creates the “Living Picture.”

What makes it so lively? The new Lytro camera is detailed inside with multiple lenses, taking away the need of a focus. The science behind it is to capture the full light field within the picture, allowing the user(s) to zoom in any spot of the camera to get an incredible view–or the makings of a really cool picture.

This picture is from a Lytro camera, it’s one of my favorites. Click any point on the picture to focus.

The pictures you take, can be uploaded for a social interaction. Not only can your friends and family look at the pictures, they can also interact with it. The price starts at $399 and goes up from their.

Because this technology is new, it cannot be a guarantee replacement of professional cameras. Reports is surfacing that it’s difficult to take photos in low level light settings but has generate a lot of fun and interest already. Give it a try.
