For some time now, Google has the “search as you type” feature on their search page, to make searching easier, faster, and more reliable as you type. Google just announced a new product specifically for your e-commcerce store, Search As You Type.
The way it works is that you implement this new feature into your business website. There, just like Google.com, the search will instantly list products as a person types. In theory, this should help increase sells.
Google stated:
Today we’re excited to announce we’re offering one of the most popular features of Google Commerce Search, Search As You Type, as a free, stand alone feature. It’s easy to implement and helps increase sales and conversion rates on merchant websites. The Search As You Type pilot is available to US-based AdWords advertisers for free, up to 25 million searches annually, after which licensing fees would apply.
What do you think? Would you try this product out?
