Here is the latest Frugal Dad infograph that takes a look at how “gaming” is good for you. This is not the first that such studies have been done. I’ve heard of a study where children who game for a few hours a day have the same mind set as an olympian. It doesn’t mean children are athletic, just the same mind frame.
The military have also ran experiments on soldiers, and quite possibly have an influence in military gaming for youth, to train their minds for combat and skill sets for the battle ground.

It’s pretty surprising to find that genre to genre, games can do some remarkable things for your brain and body. While I’m not thrilled to find my kids three hours in to a Halo session, I’m certainly relieved to learn that some real good can come out of their gaming.
